THE water might not have been too choppy but these karate students still had to brave the "absolutely freezing" temperatures for a training session in the English Channel. Students from Seido Karate in Dover were joined by their counterparts from Fulham to celebrate the arrival of 2016 with a traditional Japanese class known as Kagami Biraki.
On the weekend of the 17th and 18th June Seido Karate Dover took apart in the Seido UK National Tournament held at the High Wycombe Judo Centre. This was our best tournament to date with the junior and adult students coming away with an impressive 7 GOLDS, 5 SILVERS and 2 BRONZE medals. Everybody who put themselves forward and competed was a champion and performed to the highest standard and represented the dojo emphatically. A highlight for many was the fantastic demonstration that the junior students put on for the large crowd of spectators and other competitors. The hard work and hours spent practicing certainly paid off as the demonstration was received with great applause and admiration. Well done everyone. OSU
